Every year I see the YMCA get a lot busier the first few weeks in January. It doesn’t last long. The new people seem to disappear and it’s back to the ‘same old exercisers’. Maybe they find a different time to work out, maybe a different place. I always hope they haven’t given up. Exercising is one of the few good things we can give to ourselves. It can be a great social time, or a time to spend alone.
Take a walk, find a yoga class, dance around the room with your kids. There are opportunities to exercise everywhere!
I think the most important part of exercising is to make time to do it. Set an appointment and keep it.
